"I am just absolutely thrilled to have [our adoptive children] in our family," adoptive mother said, with tears streaming down her face in court. "It feels like a match made in heaven."
Judson Center’s Adoption Resource Consultant (ARC) program serves children who have a permanency goal of adoption and are eligible for adoption for at least one year without an identified family in place.
ARC’s Goal: To help youth establish and maintain connections with caring adults who will be there for them - for a lifetime.
How it works: Through collaboration and in coordination with adoption specialists, foster care workers, residential staff, children’s attorneys, therapists, relatives, current caregivers and the youth themselves, ARC staff will identify families for children in need of a forever family.
Also, as part of ARC, youth will receive services from a Master’s level Adoption Resource Consultant. An Individual Adoption Plan or Individualized Permanency Plan will be developed for each child and will serve as a roadmap to adoption.
ARC youth services are provided in the following counties: Wayne ·Oakland · Macomb · Allegan · Barry · Berrien · Branch Calhoun · Cass · Clinton · Eaton · Gratiot · Hillsdale · Jackson Kalamazoo · Lenawee · Monroe · Muskegon · Ottawa St. Joseph · Van Buren · Washtenaw
To receive ARC services, a referral must come from the Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE). For questions, please contact ARC at 734.528.2005.
