Closed Adoption Files

If you were adopted through Judson Center (or formally known as the Detroit Bapist Home), you can submit a request to obtain information from your closed file. 

Step 1:

Review this brochure to understand the type of information that can be relased due to confidentiality.

Mail the above form and a $60.00 check or money order filled out too: Judson Center's Adoption Department.

Once the request is obtained, a Judson Center employee searches for your file. If the file is found, a form will to be mailed to the Central Adoptions Registry Department in Lansing to approve the type of information that can be relased. Please allow 4-6 weeks to process your request.

 

Due to the nature of the work we do, Judson Center upholds the privacy of the children, adults and families we serve. Therefore, photos and names may be changed to protect identity.
