Quotes

"When we started this whole thing, I really felt deeply like I had this vision of these two children in my heart," Willow said. "We are the ones who believe we're lucky. They're doing more for us than we're doing for them. It's not just us doing the giving. They bring so much joy and so much laughter. We're definitely enriched."

Early Head Start:

The Early Head Start Program services are provided within the home to expectant mothers and those with children age birth through three residing in MacombCounty. The goal of the program is to enhance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of infants and toddlers from low-income families, while increasing school readiness. For pregnant women, the goal is to assist with accessing comprehensive prenatal and post-partum care and education, as well as to support parents’ efforts to fulfill their parental roles in caring, consistent, positive, and nurturing ways. Early Head Start also helps parents achieve their own goals, including educational advancement, economic security and self-sufficiency.
