“Love on your kids while you have them. Be patient. The process takes time. You only have a small amount of time with them. Love on them every minute of that time."

Building Community Partners

Building Community Partners (BCP) is a collaboration of community members, human service agencies, educators, businesses, faith communities, local government officials, parents, foster and adoptive parents and family members who are dedicated to helping families in our communities succeed. The BCP members work together to support families involved or at risk of becoming involved with the child welfare system.

BCP provides support to children and families in the community through a variety of services including:

Parent Partners

A free program to assist parents who have children placed in foster care to successfully reunite with their children. This is done through the guidance and mentorship of other parents who have successfully reunited with their own children.

Community Representatives

Judson Center recruits, trains and coordinates community members to become volunteer Community Representatives, who ensure a community presence at Family Team Meetings (FTM's) for families involved in the child welfare system.

BCP Committee Monthly Meetings

Anyone interested in improving the safety, welfare and success of families in our communities is welcome to attend our monthly meetings held the 3rd Thursday of every month from 10:00 am -12:00 pm. Locations vary and Wayne County residency is not required. Please call for meeting locations.

Support Groups & Trainings

To assist birth parents, foster parents, adoptive parents and relative caregivers in how to best care for their children.
