Employment Services

Judson Center’s Employment Services unit began in 1986.  The goal, then and now, remains the same … to meet the employment objectives and improve the lives of adults with disabilities, inclusive of developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. The program has been successful in providing trained, reliable, and productive adults to businesses in southeastern Michigan. On an annual basis, 250+ individuals are supported in 60+ locations across Oakland and Wayne counties. We are continually looking to expand the number and diversity of employment sites.

Current employment sites include:

  • Professional/technical – data processing and data analysis
  • Office – data entry, clerical and mailroom duties
  • Janitorial/maintenance – cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, trash removal and recycling
  • Retail – stocking, sorting, tagging, sales associate, cash register
  • Manufacturing and assembly – automotive electronic, educational products, window production, gift boxes
  • Food service – food preparation, dishwashing
  • Marketing/distribution – preparing materials, stuffing envelopes, delivery
  • Hospitality – washing, drying, folding of laundered items

Due to the nature of the work we do, Judson Center upholds the privacy of the children, adults and families we serve. Therefore, photos and names may be changed to protect identity.
