“It’s so awesome working here.
One of the most touching moments is when one of our families came in with their little boy. We asked him what he wanted. He only wanted a blanket, even after we showed him all of the toys. It can get emotional - when a child comes into a store full of toys and only wants a pillow and a blanket, it really makes you think and want to do more to help. The families are so grateful when they take the items they need. We work to provide them with more than what they ask for. We enjoy outfitting individuals for job interviews, too. It is fun to pick out outfits for them. It also gives them that extra boost of confidence. The store is open to the public, but our Judson Center families come first.”
