Child Safe Michigan:

Volunteers needed to watch children ages (0-17) while parents attend the Foster Care Support Group at Judson Center's Affiliate, Child Safe Michigan. Volunteers will be with Child Safe team members.

CONTINUING OPPORTUNTIES

We welcome volunteers throughout the year in any of our programs! Below is a list of some of the different types of standing volunteer opportunities available to children, teens, and adults.
  
Group Volunteers
Deep cleaning in Autism Connections twice a year, Spring and Fall 
 
  
Holiday Committee:
  •  Easter Basket Committee
  • Halloween trick or treating for our children in Autism Connections and/or Foster Care
  • Food baskets for our families in need
  • Christmas parties for each program area
  •  Host a party for Adoption/Foster Care Program (holiday seasonal parties) various locations throughout Southeastern Michigan
   
Holiday Wish Program:
  • Provide gifts for children in fostercare adoption program, as well as children and families in need throughout Southeastern Michigan that Judson Center serves.
  • Assist with Holiday decorating in Judson Center headquarters lobby
  • Holiday parties for each program area
  • Holiday Food Baskets
  • Assist with Wish Room Holiday Set-up
  • Organize filled wishes by program (We receive approximately 800 wishes!)
 
 
Spring and Fall Grounds Clean up and planting (Oakland & Macomb County):
  • Macomb Children’s Respite Home
  • Beverly Hills Children’s Respite Home
  • Royal Oak Headquarters
 
 
Back to School Drive (August):
Business and organizations partner with Judson Center to hold backpack and school supply drives for children in foster care in Southeastern Michigan.
 
 
Events and Fundraisers:
Fore the Kids of Judson Center Corporate Golf Challenge
  • Join the planning committee
  • Volunteer for the event day (July)
A Night to Embrace Our Children Families Gala:

  • Event volunteers range from assisting with décor, checking people in at event, and everything in between! Perfect for someone who enjoys entertaining and mixing with people to engage them in the Judson Center mission at a special event.
 
 
Videography:
Record and edit consumer stories for website and other media opportunities.
 
 
Social Media Teams:
 
Seeking experienced social media strategists to tweet, hashtag,  and use other social media platforms such as instagram and facebook to engage the community to learn about all the programs and events Judson Center does to serve Southeastern Michigan.
 
  
Jeans for Judson:
Go casual for a cause! Jeans for Judson can provide fun and team-building for your organization while raising vital funds to help Judson Center continue its mission of building brighter futures for children and families right in our own backyard. It’s easy! Here’s how it works:
  • Wear your jeans at the office on designated casual day
  • Make a donation in whatever amount you choose
  • Send donations to Judson Center
  • Build camaraderie while raising funds to help Judson Center build brighter futures for children and families
