JUDSON CENTER TO HOLD 2025 CHILD SAFE MICHIGAN FUNDRAISING GALA AT MICHIGAN CENTRAL STATION

Event will honor Child Safe Co-Founder Keith Pomeroy

Farmington Hills, MI –The annual fundraising gala for Child Safe Michigan, an affiliate of human service agency Judson Center, takes place on Friday, May 30 at 6:00 p.m. at the iconic Michigan Central Station in Detroit.

The event benefits Child Safe Michigan’s foster care, adoption and mentoring services for neglected and abused children in Southeast Michigan. The money raised helps provide these children with safe, loving homes and hope for the future.

“For more than 100 years, Judson Center has worked to eliminate the barriers that prevent children from reaching their full potential,” said Judson Center President & CEO Lenora Hardy-Foster. “Since 2015, Child Safe Michigan has been a vital part of our legacy of helping children and families thrive. This gala is one of our most important events of the year, because it provides direct support to at-risk children in foster care.”

During the evening’s program, Child Safe Michigan Co-Founder and Board Chair Keith Pomeroy will be honored for his longtime commitment to empowering children and families in the community. Pomeroy, chairman and founder of Pomeroy Family Holdings, helped create Child Safe Michigan with Elizabeth Brazilian in 2012. It became an affiliate of Judson Center in 2015.

“Keith is extremely passionate about giving back to the community and creating opportunities for children and families,” said Hardy-Foster. “When he and Elizabeth created the vision and mission of Child Safe Michigan, it was because of their dedication to changing lives and advocating for the welfare of children.”

Guests at the gala will enjoy a strolling dinner, cocktails, silent auction, raffle, and live entertainment. This year’s gala chair is Carly Dietz, a Child Safe Michigan board member and chief executive officer of Dietz Property Group in Troy, which is the presenting sponsor for this year’s event. Dietz is supported by a dedicated group of volunteers on the Event Committee and Child Safe Board of Directors.
