JUDSON CENTER’S CHILD SAFE MICHIGAN GALA RAISES OVER $600,000 FOR FOSTER CARE, ADOPTION AND MONTORING PROGRAMS
Royal Oak, MI –Child Safe Michigan, an affiliate of human services agency Judson Center, raised more than $600,000 at its 2025 gala on May 30 at Michigan Central Station in Detroit.
The annual event benefits Child Safe Michigan’s foster care, adoption and mentoring services for neglected and abused children in Southeastern Michigan. The money raised helps provide these children with safe, loving homes and hope for the future.
“We had an incredible turnout in support of our vital work with children and families,” said Judson Center President & CEO Lenora Hardy-Foster. “It was one of our largest and most successful events since the COVID pandemic began. More than 550 people joined us for a night of food, fun and inspiration at the beautiful Michigan Central Station.”
The highlight of the evening was the special recognition for Child Safe Michigan Co-Founder and Board Chair Keith Pomeroy. He was presented with the Child Safe Hero Award for his longtime commitment to the well-being of children and families.
“Keith is extremely passionate about giving back to the community, and we could not have chosen a more deserving person for this tribute,” said Hardy-Foster. “The Judson Center and Child Safe teams thank him for his decades of leadership and compassion.”
The 2025 Child Safe Michigan Gala chair was Carly Dietz, a Child Safe Michigan board member and chief executive officer of Dietz Property Group in Troy, which was the presenting sponsor for the event. Dietz was supported by a dedicated group of volunteers on the Event Committee and members of the Child Safe Michigan and Judson Center boards.
The sold-out event featured a strolling dinner, cocktails, silent auction, raffle, and live entertainment.
