Client Rights
for Remote (Telehealth) Services
Judson Center is committed to protecting and promoting the rights of individuals receiving services through telehealth or other remote service delivery methods.
When you receive services via telehealth, you have the same rights and protections as you would when receiving services in person. These rights include, but are not limited to, the following:
Your Rights
- To be treated with dignity, respect, and without discrimination
- To participate actively in decisions about your services, including the option to request in‑person services when available and clinically appropriate
- To receive services in a manner that protects your privacy and confidentiality
- To understand the benefits, risks, and alternatives to telehealth services before agreeing to participate
- To receive information in a language and format you can understand, including accommodations for accessibility needs
- To refuse or withdraw consent for telehealth services at any time without retaliation or loss of access to other service
Grievances and Complaints
You have the right to raise concerns, file a grievance, or make a complaint regarding telehealth services without fear of retaliation. Concerns may be shared verbally or in writing, and you will receive a timely response, including information about resolution and appeal options. At least one level of grievance review will be completed by an individual who was not involved in the original decision.
